55 Ar Rahman (One of [God]'s Names of Outstanding Excellence)

In the Name of Allah the Merciful Beneficient

55:14    [God] created Adam [father of man] from dry clay,

55:15    And [It] created Jinns*1 from a smoke-free flame of fire.

55:16    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:17    [It] is the Creator of the Easts and the Wests.*2

55:18    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:19    [It] placed the two seas, one with salt water and one with sweet, next to each other,

55:20    And between them is a barrier so that none of the two can transgress,

55:21    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:22    Out of the two seas are drawn out pearls and corals,

55:23    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:24    And to [It] belong the ships which are like huge mountains sailing in the sea,

55:25    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:26    Whatever in the worlds will be perished,

55:27    Only the Existence of your Creator&Nurturer is Eternal; The One [Which] is the Source-Owner of Sublimity, Honor and Bounty.*3

55:28    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

55:29    All creatures in the heavens and on the earth are in need of [It]; and every day [It] is busy in a new miraculous Act by [Its] Embracing Power.

55:30    Then which of the Bounties of your Creator&Nurturer do you deny?

*1-    jinn (noun)  (in Arabian and Muslim mythology) an intelligent spirit of lower rank than the angels, able to appear in human and animal forms and to possess humans.

*2 - With regards to 70:40 I have read Mashriq and Maghrib in plural.
