85: 1   By the Sky and its broad belt of Constellations

85:2    By the Promised Day of Judgment

85:3    By those [Messengers] who bear witness and their followers who are the subject of their witness,*1

85:4    [By all these oaths]  That [God]'s Decree [of burning all in the Hell Fire] was issued against the fellows of the ditch-fire.*2

85:5    Fire supplied with abundance of fuel,

85:6    And also the Decree of burning all in the Hell Fire was issued against those who sat around the ditch,

85:7    And watched carelessly what [was being done] to the believers [the act of burning them];

85:8    The believers' accusation was not but that they believed in [God], the Praiseworthy Supremepower;

85:9    The One to Whom belongs the Dominion of the heaven and the earth; and [God] is the Supreme Witness over all things.

85:10  Verily, those who tortured the believing men and women and then did not repent, for them shall be the Chastisement of the Burning Fire.

85:11  Verily, those who believe and do good deeds, for them shall be the Gardens in which flow streams; and this is the Great Achievement.

85:12  Verily, the [wrath and chastisement] of your Creator&Nurturer is Highly Grave.
