In the Name of Allah the Merciful Beneficient

12:43                And the king [of Egypt] said: "Verily, I saw in a dream, seven fat cows whom seven lean ones were devouring and also I saw seven green ears of corn, and seven others dry. O, you honorable! Explain to me my dream, if you can interpret dreams."

12:44                They said: "These are but confused dreams and we are not skilled in the interpretation of such dreams."

12:45                Then, the man who was released from the prison, all of a sudden remembered [Joseph] and said: " I will tell you the truth of the dream's interpretation; so let me go [to the prison.]"

12:46                [And as he met Joseph in the prison, he said:] "[Joseph]! O, you truthful man! Interpret for us the dream about the seven fat cows who are eaten by seven lean ones; and [tell me about] seven green ears of corn and seven withered ones, that I may return to the people and that they may know about the future."

12:47                [Joseph] said: "For seven consecutive years, you shall sow as usual and you should store the harvest that you reap in its ear, except a little for your daily consumption;

12:48        "       Then after that, shall come seven years of hardship of famine that you shall eat what you have stored beforehand and except a little that you shall save for sowing seeds,

12:49                "Then after that hard time will come a year which people will have abundant rain and when they will press grapes and olives."

12:50                The king said: "Bring him to me!" And when the courier of the king went to fetch [Joseph], he said: "Return to your master and ask him what was the story of the women who cut their hands? Surely, my Creator&Nurturer knows their guile."

12:51                The king sent for those women and said: "What happened then when you sought to seduce [Joseph]?" They said: "[God] is far from any imperfection. We do not know any evil against him." The wife of Aziz said: "Now the truth has become disclosed: I was the one who tried to seduce him, and he is surely of the truthful ones and he refused my suggestion."
